Believed to be from Yemen this lovely box could have been used to store spices. The chasing and incised design is what is thought to be typical of Yemen. Little is know about the age but the original owner did a considerable amount of travel so am guessing this item is vintage. This is a metal alloy but shines up very nicely with silver polish if you don't like the tarnished effect.
