I believe this is a military issue case based on the other items at the estate sale where I purchased it.
The box has it original gray paint with a fantastic patina. The lettering on the top" Must not be opened expect in case of emergency" and on the front "To open cut wire" with red cross on are original in ledgable. The box has dovetailed sides and in sturdy condition.
16 1/2" x 10" x 7"ht.
