Midcentury Modern Finnish Sterling Silver Tigers Eye Ring

This superb Modernist sterling silver and tiger eye ring is by Kupittaan Kulta Oy of Finland. Elis Kauppi; 1921-2004, Turku, Finland founded Kupittaan Kulta Oy in 1945 and was one of the pioneers in Finnish modern jewelry renowned for superb design and high quality. A stunning design, the piece has two bullet shaped tiger eye stones. The design is typical of his clean lined and  simplistic forms. This ring is stamped on the inner band with 925S and an anvil which was the hallmark for Kupittaan Kulta Oy used between 1945 and 1997.
