Sprint is working on a mobile payment network.  Soon you will be able to swipe your phone as if it was a credit card -- using 'near field communication' (NFC) chips.

 

 

Great story here as 92 year old Gladys Burrill (also known as the gladyator!) is given the title of 'Oldest Person in World' to complete a marathon, the Honolulu marathon.  Her fourth marathon since turning 86.  Way to go Gladys!

Hasbro has come up with a $35 plastic viewer you attach to your iPhone or iPod Touch (it kind of looks like those View-Master viewers still sold by rival Mattel) that presents gaming, tour and other applications in a 360-degree 3D viewing environment. The toy company has also released a series of apps for the "MY 3D" device, some free for now, including "My3D Presents," a movie trailer app, "Sector 17," a first person shooter and 3D maze app "Bubble Bolt" which you navigate by tilting the phone in the right direction. Target and Target.com has exclusive rights to sell the MY 3D viewer until June.

Recently we mentioned how Julianne Moore is going to play Sarah Palin in HBO's 'Game Change.'  Now it's being reported that Ed Harris will play John McCain.

 

For all you Dolly fans, she will be releasing her album and hitting the road this summer.  Also, she will be debuting her new single 'Together, You & I,' on May 26th, 2011 on The Ellen DeGeneres -- the same day it is released.  More info here.

Here's the latest tv promo for NBC's The Voice, a singing competition that will be judged by Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine (from Maroon 5).  Hosted by Carson Daly, the first show is set for April 26th, 2011.
