I'm Jay, 38, a single dad from Long Island (can't you hear my New Yawk accent?).  
I graduated from the University of Florida (go Gators) and then lived in Los Angeles
for 6 years, working in the music industry. 

Kansas (south of Wichita) has been my home since 2001. 
I wake up every day
grateful for having the three best kids in the world! :-)

My tagline is 'Penny-pinchin with a purpose,'  because it is my goal to help you.  Of course I enjoy saving money when I shop for things, but it makes me feel even better if I can show you and others how to save too.

I hope that you join me in being ethical when it comes to using information that I provide.  I know it is easy to 'get caught up' in the hysteria of saving money when printing coupons, etc, but let's all remember that we can follow the rules (e.g. print a coupon once) and still benefit big time.  I'm also a firm believer in karma, so let's keep the energy moving In the right direction.  This next comment is directed to any company that I may promote with a coupon or saving suggestion. If at any time you come across something you feel I shouldn't share, please let me know.   

I encourage you to purchase and donate things (household items, gifts, toys, etc) 
to your local charities -- I will do the same.  Let's all help make a difference in others' lives.

Although I am a vegetarian I do enjoy the occasional junk food.  One of my guilty pleasures is Sour Patch Kids.  Yum!

I have an addictive side to my personality, so I choose to fill that side with healthy things like exercising and reading spiritual books.

And I try not to take life too seriously it's more fun that way. Being a dad gives me a great excuse to be a goofball.
